She won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 before she retired from boxing. LifeOurahmoune was born in 1982 in Sèvres. She is of Algerian descent.[2] She won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the women's flyweight.[3] She was beaten by Nicola Adams who was the Olympic champion from the previous Olympics. The fight was won on points with Ourahmoune being chosen in only one round.
