He was born in Saint-Denis, Réunion, a French oversea departement in the Indian Ocean. His father is Comorian[1] and his mother is from La Réunion from poor European descent ("Petit Blanc des hauts")[2]. The family moved to Marseilles when Saïd Ahamada was a baby[2].
