| image = Scott Ellaway filming OpusYou in 2016 (Photo by Clive Barda).jpg | birth_name = Scott Tereance Ellaway | birth_date = {{birth date and age|1981|8|8|df=y}} | birth_place = Abergavenny, South Wales | years_active = 2002–present | occupation = Conductor | alma_mater = {{nowrap|Keble College, Oxford}} | website = {{URL|http://www.scottellaway.com}} }}Scott Tereance Ellaway (born 8 August 1981) is a Welsh conductor and advocate for broadening access to classical music.[1][2] In an article published by BBC Music Magazine in 2009,[3][4] Ellaway became known for his entrepreneurial spirit as the founder and artistic director of Orchestra Europa.[5][6] Ellaway lives in New York where he is artistic director of OpusYou.[7] CareerBorn in Abergavenny, South Wales, Ellaway was educated locally before gaining an organ scholarship to Keble College, Oxford in 2002 and graduating in 2005.[8] He made his professional conducting debut at age 21 with members of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Welsh National Opera in Abergavenny.[9] He has since worked with several prominent orchestras including the Academy of Ancient Music,[10] Berliner Symphoniker,[11] the Philharmonia Orchestra,[12] the London Mozart Players,[13] and performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City for the first time in 2014, conducting performances of George Balanchine's Concerto Barocco, Kammermusik No. 2 and Who Cares? for the New York City Ballet.[14] He made his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Henry Wood Hall in June 2016.[15] Discography
