It was described by Oleksiy V. Bidzilya and Hou-Hun Li in 2010. It is found in the Chinese autonomous region of Inner Mongolia and in Mongolia.[1] The wingspan is 14–15 mm. The forewings are grey with the veins cream, yellowish white. There is a small dark stripe at two-thirds and a small black dot at the corner of the cell. The hindwings are light grey, with dark veins. Adults are on wing from the end of June to mid-August. EtymologyThe species name refers to the wing pattern and is derived from Latin flavus (meaning yellow) and nervus (meaning vein).[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/gelechiidae/gelechiinae/scrobipalpa/#flavinerva |title=Scrobipalpa flavinerva Bidzilya & Li, 2010 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=March 16, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q21299148}}{{Scrobipalpa-stub}}2. ^{{cite journal |last1=Bidzilya |first1=Oleksiy |last2=Li |first2=Houhun |date=2010 |url=https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Bidzilya_Oleksiy/publication/289638587_The_Genus_Scrobipalpa_Janse_Lepidoptera_Gelechiidae_In_China_With_Descriptions_Of_13_New_Species/links/58dd736792851cd2d3e36d15/The-Genus-Scrobipalpa-Janse-Lepidoptera-Gelechiidae-In-China-With-Descriptions-Of-13-New-Species.pdf |title=The genus Scrobipalpa Janse (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae) in China, with descriptions of 13 new species |journal=Zootaxa |volume=2513 |pages=1–26}} 2 : Scrobipalpa|Moths described in 2010 |
