It was described by Oleksiy V. Bidzilya and Yury I. Budashkin in 2011. It is found on the Crimea.[1] The wingspan is 11.3–12 mm. The forewings are covered with white brown-tipped scales, especially along the costal margin at the termen. The veins are mottled with yellowish orange near the base and in the apical one-third. There are three large rounded yellowish-orange spots in the cell, with brown points inside. There is also a diffuse subapical white angulated fascia at two-thirds and the termen and apex are edged with scattered orange scales. The hindwings are white. Adults are on wing from mid-May to mid-June. The larvae probably feed on Halimione verrucifera. EtymologyThe species name refers to the wing pattern and is derived from Latin griseus (meaning grey) and flavus (meaning yellow).[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/gelechiidae/gelechiinae/scrobipalpa/#griseoflava |title=Scrobipalpa griseoflava Bidzilya & Budashkin, 2011 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=March 16, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q21299140}}{{Scrobipalpa-stub}}2. ^Bidzilya, O. & Y.
