}}Sebastian 'Seb' Priaulx (born 18 January 2001) is a British racing driver and son of three time WTCC champion Andy Priaulx.[1]

Career

Karting

Born on the island of Guernsey, Priaulx began his racing career at the age of eight and began his karting career two years later, claiming multiple titles across the Cadet, Mini and Junior Max championships and won the Guernsey Kart Club title at the age of fourteen.[2][3][4]

Ginetta Junior Championship

In 2015, Priaulx moved to car racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship, first by partaking in a Scholarship in which he finished second to Daniel Harper and then in the Winter Series with JHR Developments, where he finished third in the rookie standings.[5][6]

The following year, Priaulx reunited with JHR to contest the main championship.[7] Claiming his win at Silverstone, two pole positions and four additional podiums, Priaulx ended the season seventh overall and second in the rookie standings.[8] Priaulx also returned for the Winter Series where he claimed two wins and a pole to clinch the title.[9]

Priaulx returned with JHR for the 2017 season and received backing from insurance company 1st Central.[10] Achieving multiple wins across the first half of the season, Priaulx was leading the championship until he was forced to switch to HHC Motorsport following JHR's suspension for engine irregularities at Thruxton.[11] Battling Tom Gamble and Daniel Harper throughout the latter half of the championship, Priaulx ultimately finished as vice-champion to Gamble.[12]

Lower formulae

In 2018, Priaulx made his single-seater debut in the British F4 Championship with Arden and received backing from Channel Islands-based investment management Ravenscroft.[13][14] Claiming two wins and a pole position, Priaulx ended the season seventh in the championship.[15][16]

Sports cars

British GT

In December 2018, Priaulx was named as part of Canadian outfit Multimatic Motorsport's 2019 driver line-up.[17]

Personal life

Priaulx's father is three time WTCC champion Andy Priaulx.[1]
