{{Orphan|date=September 2018}}Sesame Street, Special is a prime-time special that is based on the children's series, Sesame Street. It aired on PBS in March 15, 1988 as part of the pledge drive.[1][2][3]PlotThe special begins with Gladys Knight & the Pips performing, Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?. Then, Phil Donahue comes along and interviews the cast on the steps of the 123 Sesame Street Brownstone. They talk about what improvements could be made on the street. But after several agreements and disagreements, Bob and Linda agree that everyone on Sesame Street likes kids. Afterwards, Bob sings "Who Are The People in Your Neighborhood?", featuring Martina Navratilova, Barbara Walters, and Ralph Nader. The scene then changes to Robert MacNeil discussing the "cookiegate affair" when Kermit tells him that Cookie Monster was accused of stealing Susan and Gordon's cookies. Finally, we see a celebrity version of "Put Down the Duckie". At the very end, Hoots tells Ernie that he has a problem. Every time Hoots squeaks "his" Rubber Duckie, it makes a weird sound. After demonstrating, Ernie tells Hoots, "You gotta put down the saxophone if you wanna squeak your duckie!" Cast- Alison Bartlett as Gina
