Following a number of acquisitions in 2017, Mumbrella stated that they had become the biggest music media publishing group in Australia. HistoryIn early 2017, Seventh Street Media made 3 separate acquisitions of Australian-based music publications. Tone Deaf, JPlay and The Brag. All three publications were independent prior to the acquisitions.[1] Main publicationsDon't Bore UsSeventh Street Media's Don't Bore Us originally started out as a social media hub. While remaining as a social interaction tool and more informal way of receiving music information, Don't Bore Us also launched a website following the success of the social media hubs.[2] J-PlayIs considered an online playlist by many, reporting and recording what has been played on Australia's Triple J radio network.[3] The insights are frequently used by the media to analyse performance of artists and tracks in Australia.[4][5] Tone DeafTone Deaf was acquired by Seventh Street Media in 2017, along with other publications. It contains daily music news for Australia and the neighboring countries. The BragThe music magazine was launched in 2002 and has risen to become one of the largest and best-known music publications in Australia. It was acquired by Seventh Street Media in 2017 from an undisclosed amount.[6] The Brag brand has been used to move into other markets, away from its print publication and online website. The Brag Dad and The Brag Gaming editions have also been launched as part of the wider brand. The Industry ObserverThe Industry Observer is one of Seventh Street Media's newest music publications and was founded in 2017.[7] Following its launch, Poppy Reid was announced as the magazine's editorial lead, who had previously held roles at The Music Network. TIO reports on local and international music stories, focusing on the broader industry, musicians and consumers.[8] References1. ^{{cite web |title=Australia's Seventh Street Media Acquires Tone Deaf, JPlay and The Brag |url=https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/australias-seventh-street-media-acquires-tone-deaf-brag-j-play/ |publisher=Music Business Worldwide |date=January 17, 2017}} {{authority control}}2. ^{{cite web |last1=Dawson |first1=Abigail |title=Seventh Street Media launches Don’t Bore Us website |url=https://mumbrella.com.au/seventh-street-media-launches-dont-bore-us-website-447151 |publisher=Mumbrella |date=May 25, 2017}} 3. ^{{cite web |title=The Rubens reveal the stories behind new record Hoops and how they keep it together on the road |url=https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music/tours/the-rubens-reveal-the-stories-behind-new-record-hoops-and-how-they-keep-it-together-on-the-road/news-story/b52cef47bf626c3790ef5d8b9b33f859 |publisher=News.com.au}} 4. ^{{cite web |last1=Davino |first1=Bianca |title=Here are the 50 most played tracks on triple j in 2018 so far |url=https://www.theindustryobserver.com.au/50-most-played-tracks-triple-j-2018-so-far/ |publisher=The Industry Observer |date=June 5, 2018}} 5. ^{{cite web |last1=McCann |first1=James |title=Why Does Australia Hate Iggy Azalea? |url=https://junkee.com/why-does-australia-hate-iggy-azalea/37330 |publisher=Junkee |date=July 3, 2014}} 6. ^{{cite web |last1=Ferrari |first1=Elise |title=End of an era?
