But her father's only dream is to get her married in a rich Nawab family. Shaheen's dreams were shattered when she gets to know that her father has fixed her marriage with a Lucknow based widowed Nawab 'Junaid' played by Bhaveen Gossain. There is a big age difference between Shaheen and Junaid but surrendering to her father's wish Shaheen didn't care much about the age gap and marries Junaid. After marriage Shaheen shifted to her husband's house in Lucknow and takes some time to adjust in the new City which is very much different from Mumbai in terms of culture and lifestyle. Soon she gets to know that her husband also has a son from his first marriage, a secret that her father knows but he hides from her. Before Shaheen could recover from that truth another shock awaits her when her husband revealed to her that he is still in love with his dead wife and can not give her position in his life to any other women. Shocked and heart broken Shaheen doesn't give up and decided to further pursue her studies and her decision is agreed upon by her husband and family. In the college she meets a poet Rafee and fall in love with him. The story then takes a turn and focuses on the difficulties Shaheen faced in her Marriage and personal life and how she will manage to reach an ultimate decision to choose between her husband and her love.
