The object number of cultural heritage of regional significance is 661710794010005. HistoryThe mansion was built at the end of 19th century. The first owner was a Kamensk merchant Sbitnev. There were a shop and apartments in the building. The mansion got the present name after Vasily Skvortsov, its next owner. The young specialist came to Kamensk after graduating from Tomsk Medical University. He worked in the local hospital. He lived in Sbitnev’s house. Later he received the mansion as a part of dowry after his marriage to merchant's daughter.[2] He headed Kamensk Executive Committee in 1917. In late 1930-s he was arrested and shot. His property was nationalized. Later the building was used by different firms and offices. Also, there was the Kamensk department of the KGB.[3] The building burnt down in 1991. The mansion is reconstructed and functions nowadays.[3] ArchitectureThe main western facade faces Revoluycionnaya Street. The building area is shaped like a rectangle, stretching from west to east. The mansion forms part of the southern border of the Cathedral Square. It is harmoniously located among the buildings.[2] The foundation is made of quarry stone. The walls are brick. Decorative elements are made of figured brick. The main architectural style is eclecticism with elements of brick lace.[3] On the first floor there was a shop, on the second floor - living rooms. The decoration of the top floor is different from the lower one by three window axes. Fences, window sills, corner walls and frieze are made of decorative bricks. All windows are decorated with a wide border. The northern and eastern facades are decorated easier, but in the same style and with the same elements.
