The So Far, So Good, So What! Tour was a concert tour performed by the American thrash metal band Megadeth to support their 1988 album So Far, So Good...So What!. {{cn|date=April 2018}} This was the only tour to feature the lineup of Dave Mustaine on vocals and guitar, David Ellefson on bass, Jeff Young on guitar and Chuck Behler on drums.{{cn|date=April 2018}} The tour began January 1, 1988 in Portland, Maine at the Cumberland County Civic Center and ended August 20, 1988 at the Monsters of Rock festival in Donington Park.[1] Alongside Savatage, the band served as the opening act for Dio from January 1 to March 26. Megadeth was scheduled to perform at the Monsters of Rock festival, however after one show they were replaced by Testament. There were also problems during the Australian leg of the tour, with several dates being cancelled due to ongoing drug problems within the band. Mustaine claimed they had to return to the States because Young "ran out of heroin", which Young denies. Young states it was because Mustaine wanted to go back to Los Angeles to seek rehabilitation. [2] Both Young and Behler were fired at the end of the tour in August 1988.[3]
