The team was based in Brisbane, Queensland. HistoryFounded in 2015, Basketball Australia granted the Stars a WNBL licence following the collapse of Logan Thunder after the 2013-14 season.[1] It was later announced that Shane Heal would coach a team headlined by Opals players Erin Phillips, Rachel Jarry & Rebecca Allen. The Stars made their WNBL debut on October 9, 2015 at home against the Bendigo Spirit.
