Deyatelnyy or Deyatel’nyy ({{lang-ru|link=no|italics=yes|Деятельный}}, “Active”) was a Soviet Navy 1135 Burevestnik-class Large Anti-Submarine Ship ({{lang|ru|Большой Противолодочный Корабль}}, BPK) or Krivak-class frigate. DesignDeyatelnyy displaced {{convert|2835|t}} standard and {{convert|3190|t}} full load and was {{convert|123|m|ft|abbr=on}} in length.[1] Power was provided by a combination of two {{convert|17000|hp}} M8K and two {{convert|6000|hp}} M62 gas turbines installed as a COGAG set named М7К for a design speed of {{convert|32|kn|km/h|0}}.[2]The ship was designed for anti-submarine warfare around four URPK-4 Metel missiles (NATO reporting name SS-N-14 'Silex'), backed up by {{convert|533|mm|in|0|abbr=on|}} torpedoes and a pair of RBU-6000 {{convert|213|mm|in|0|abbr=on|adj=off}} anti-submarine rocket launchers.[3] ServiceLaunched on 6 April 1975, Deyatelnyy was deployed to the Black Sea Fleet on 19 February 1976 as part of the 11th Brigade and operated in the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf.[4] The vessel was designated a Guard Ship ({{lang|ru|Сторожевой Корабль}}, SKR) from 28 July 1977.[5] After a main armament upgrade undertaken at Sevastopol Shipyard in Sevastopol between 1984 and 1986, ‘’Deyatelnyy’’ fired 24 of the new URPK-5 (SS-N-14B) missiles off the coast of Feodosia against surface and underwater targets between March and June 1987, proving a new anti-ship capability for the class.[4]The ship was taken out of service for repair and modernisation in October 1991, but lack of funding instead meant that the ship was decommissioned on 10 June 1995 and left Sevastopol to be scrapped by a Turkish company on 6 April 1997.[4] Selected Pennant numbers
