It was released in Australia and New Zealand on 26 March 2018 by Sony Music New Zealand. BackgroundIn September 2017, Walker underwent surgery to remove part of his stomach after discovering he inherited a rare cancer-causing gene mutation called CDH1. In January 2018, fan expressed concern for Walker's health after gaunt photos appeared on social media. A feature-length documentary titled Stan was released in New Zealand in March 2018.[3][4][5] Walker said "This EP has songs I've written 11 years ago, 5 years ago, 3 years ago and now. All these songs were written in break even times in my life. So I thought now would be a perfect time for them to be heard, along side 1 of the biggest times of my life.
