It was to make its first appearance in the Turkvision Song Contest 2017, to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan before it was cancelled indefinitely. It was equally unsuccessful at the 2015 contest due to restrictions, and the 2016 contest when it was cancelled. HistoryOn 23 September 2015 it was confirmed that Nogais would make their official Turkvision Song Contest début at the 2015 contest to be held in Istanbul, Turkey.[1] But later on 23 November it was announced that they will be represented as Stavropol Krai.
