A pattern was held here on October 15. Local belief associated the water with miraculous cures and claimed that the water of the well could not be boiled.[3] There was formerly a rag tree beside the well.[1]DescriptionThe holy well is surrounded by a low wall. A cross slab is next to this enclosure.[4] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.megalithomania.com/show/site/1329/cornamucklagh.htm|title=megalithomania: St. Cuan's Well (Galway) :: Holy Well :: Visit notes|publisher=}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://places.galwaylibrary.ie/place/39106|title=- Place names of Galway|publisher=}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/4583282/4576251/4583906|title=St Cuan's Well|publisher=}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.earlychristianireland.net/Counties/galway/castlegar_east/|title=Castlegar east, County Galway|publisher=}} 3 : National Monuments in County Galway|Archaeological sites in County Galway|Holy wells in Ireland |
