It was described by Francis Walker in 1864. It is found in Ega (now Tefé), Brazil.[1] Adults are whitish, the forewings rounded at the tips and with three blackish points in a line along the disc, as well as an elongated blackish dot between the first and second points, but nearer the interior border. There are two blackish costal points, the first nearly opposite the dot and the costa and exterior border are very slightly convex, the latter hardly oblique.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/depressariidae/stenomatinae/stenoma/#subnotatella |title=Stenoma subnotatella (Walker, 1864) |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=February 8, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q25096187}}{{Stenoma-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/listofspecimenso2930brit#page/724/mode/1up List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum 29: 724] 2 : Moths described in 1864|Stenoma |
