HNL club Rijeka and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Lončar started his career at Široki Brijeg, before joining Rijeka in 2018. A former youth international for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lončar made his senior international debut in 2018. Club careerEarly careerLončar is a youth product of Široki Brijeg, whose academy he joined at the age of 7.[2] He debuted professionally in a league game against Vitez on 24 July 2016.[3] It took him over a year, until 20 September 2017, to score his first professional goal, in a cup game against Radnik Bijeljina.[4] RijekaIn June 2018, Lončar signed a three-year deal with Croatian side Rijeka, with two optional seasons.[5] He made his competitive debut for the club in a convincing victory over Inter Zaprešić on 3 August.[6] On 10 February 2019, Lončar scored his first goal for Rijeka.[7] International careerLončar represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on various youth levels throughout the years.[8] He got first senior call-up for friendly games against United States and Mexico in January 2018.[9] He debuted in a 0–1 defeat against Mexico on 31 January.[10] Career statisticsClub{{updated|match played 1 March 2019.}}[11]
