He is the 1997 Czech Skate champion[1] and a three-time (1995–97) Quebec champion.[2] He trained at CPA Boucherville[1]{{rp|130}} and at the Mariposa School of Skating, where he was coached by Doug Leigh.[4] He retired from competition due to a knee injury.[5] As of 2015, Yvars is the head coach at Boucherville Centre Elite.[4] His brothers, Bruno and Thierry, also competed in figure skating.[5] Competitive highlightsGP: Champions Series (Grand Prix)
