Sudip K. Mazumder is an electrical engineer at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2016^[1] for his contributions to the analysis and control of power electronics systems. He has been a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) since 2016. Currently, he serves as the Chair for the IEEE PELS Technical Committee on Sustainable Energy Systems.

Mazumder is the recipient of University of Illinois' University Scholar Award (2013) and UIC's Inventor of the Year Award (2014). He received four IEEE Awards, including the Prize Paper Award in 2002, from the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics. He is the recipient of the CAREER Award (2003) from the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Young Investigator Award in 2005 from the U.S. Office of Naval Research. Mazumder has published over 215 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences and 10 book and book chapters. He has delivered about 100 keynote/plenary/invited lectures and presentations. In addition, he has 10 issued patents.

Mazumder is the Editor-at-Large for IEEE Transactions of Power Electronics since 2019. He also serves/has served on the Editorial Board of multiple IEEE entities, and has also served as an Editor-in-Chief/Guest Editor-in-Chief/Editor for several leading IEEE and other outfits.
