The fire has burned a total of 1,280 acres as of August 14, 2018. It is currently 35% contained.[2] IncidentsThe Sugarloaf Fire started near Ute Pass.[2][3] EventsJuneOn June 28, 2018, at around 12:00 A.M, the fire started 13 miles southwest of Fraser, CO. Through June, the Sugarloaf Fire continued to spread. JulyThe fire reached its peak at {{convert|1,280|acres|km2|0}} at around July 3, 2018 and was at 35% contained. On July 12, 2018, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed an executive order sentencing the Sugarloaf Fire to death. AugustThe fire stopped its spread and stayed the same.
