Sway stylized as SWAY or Shuhei Nogae (野替愁平 Nogae Shuhei, born June 9, 1986 ) is a Japanese rapper, actor, lyricist and producer managed by LDH and signed to Def Jam Recordings. In the 3rd grade of junior high school, he started graphic design[2][3], break dance and DJ activity[4], made a dance track, wrote lyrics and started to rap[5]. He Began working as a rapper in the name of SWAY at the age of 16[6]. He formed hip hop crew WILD STYLE with Shokichi at the age of 17[7][8], and had been active with the crew for three years[9]. Nogae Studied in Toronto, Canada from 19 to 21 years old[2]. In August 2012, he debuted as an actor on the stage "Attack No. 1" and in September, he joined Gekidan EXILE, since then, he started to work in parallel between music and acting as SWAY. In June 2014, he joined the group DOBERMAN INFINITY. In April 2016, he formed the Hip hop group HONEST BOYZ[10]. On September 16, 2017, he announced his solo major debut with single "MANZANA", which was released on November 1 under Universal Music Japan's sub-label Def Jam Recordings. On November 11, he has formed the creative unit "N0IR (Noir)"[11]. On December 12, 2018, he announced that he would use the SWAY name also during acting activities that used his real name[12].
