It was established in 2013 and was first launched in Patna, the capital city of Bihar State.[1][2] Taasir is currently published in eight Indian states with nine editions. History{{unsourced|section|date=December 2018}}Taasir was first launched at Patna. Its first issue was published on 5 January 2013 and was circulated within the city only. During the following years its circulation extended to eight Indian states with nine editions: Patna, Muzaffarpur, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Gangtok, Ranchi, Guwahati, Howrah, Chennai and Bhagalpur. Some editions of Taasir cover more than five states alone. For example, the Patna edition covers Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttrakhand and Jharkhand besides Bihar. Taasir Patna has been empanelled by the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Jharkhand and Government of Uttar Pradesh. This edition of Taasir has already been empanelled by the Government of Bihar for receiving regular government advertisements. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also included and empanelled this Urdu daily to receive regular advertisements. Taasir has also been approved and empanelled by the I&PRDs of different other State Governments like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand. Taasir has recently launched its mobile application in the name of Roznama Taasir.
