He served on the council for three years, and did not seek re-election, instead moving to Burnaby to pursue a degree at Simon Fraser University. After completing a joint major in business and economics there, he attended Oxford University, finishing with an MBA. After finishing his education, he pursued a variety of business and charitable activities. Beech was nominated as the Liberal candidate in Burnaby in July 2014, and won the election in the following October.[5] Electoral record{{Canadian federal election, 2015/Burnaby North—Seymour}}References1. ^http://www.burnabynow.com/news/terry-beech-gets-liberal-nod-in-burnaby-north-seymour-1.1902029 {{Current Members of the Canadian House of Commons}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Beech, Terry}}2. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.parl.gc.ca/PublicDisclosure/MemberExpenditures.aspx?Id=MER2017Q3B&Language=E&View=TP&ReportItemId=10310|title=Expenditures by Member - Selection of Members|website=www.parl.gc.ca|language=en-CA|access-date=2017-05-06}} 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/liberal-terry-beech-wins-burnaby-north-seymour-1.3278960 | title=Liberal Terry Beech wins Burnaby North-Seymour | publisher=CBC News | date=19 October 2015 | accessdate=20 October 2015}} 4. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/canada-election-2015-list-of-elected-b-c-candidates-1.3279444 | title=Canada election 2015: List of elected B.C. candidates | publisher=CBA News | date=19 October 2015 | accessdate=20 October 2015}} 5. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/liberal-terry-beech-wins-burnaby-north-seymour-1.3278960 | title=Liberal Terry Beech wins Burnaby North-Seymour | publisher=CBC News | date=19 October 2015 | accessdate=20 October 2015}} 10 : Liberal Party of Canada MPs|Living people|1981 births|Members of the House of Commons of Canada from British Columbia|Alumni of the University of Oxford|Alumni of Saïd Business School|Simon Fraser University alumni|Nanaimo city councillors|People from Burnaby|21st-century Canadian politicians |
