The Verbal Love Relationship}}, is a Japanese bishōjo visual novel developed by SukeraSparo in 2017. It's a romantic game that contains Esperanto, used as Juliamo. To advance, players need to learn Esperanto as they play.^[2]

The Japanese Esperanto Institute has collaborated with the developer SukeraSparo to translate Japanese phrases to Esperanto.^[3]

The brand name is derived from a coined word which means taiyaki in Esperanto: sukera (sweet) and sparo (sparidae).^[4]

Plot

Rin Takatō, a girl, suddenly got lost in another world, where no one speaks her language, Japanese, and all posters are in a foreign language, called Juliamo. Rin feels out of the language barrier, but she meets Ruka who helps and puts up her. Meanwhile, Rin learns Juliamo and little by little emotionally approaches Ruka.^[2]
