Designed by Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard, Flying Dinosaur restrains riders in the prone position. The new attraction opened on March 18, 2016, surpassing Tatsu as the world's longest flying roller coaster. However, it will be superseded by the new Flying-Launch-Coaster, F.L.Y. in the German theme park Phantasialand. HistoryIn June 2015, Universal Studios Japan confirmed that they would be adding a new Jurassic Park-themed attraction. Later in July, vertical construction began, when the park finished building the first supports and track. Later in August, the park released teasers around the park saying "The Greatest DINOSAUR RIDE IN THE WORLD! Coming in 2016...". Construction was going on for a while.
