释义 |
}}The John Hardy Company is a Chicago-based designer and manufacturer of boutique microphone pre-amplifiers for audio recording, designed and manufactured by audio engineer, John Hardy. His M-2 preamp has been cited as a favorite of audio engineer, Steve Albini.[1] Company originsPrior to starting the company, John Hardy did audio circuit design for DB Sound. One of his biggest projects for the company was the design and construction of new live mixing console for the band Kansas. The console was based around a modular concept, with an input module designed by Hardy called the IM-200. In 1980, after reading the published spec of Deane Jensen's 990 Op Amp in an issue of AES journal, he began building the 990c, initially building them for Jensen's company, Jensen Transformers.[2] His first product was a replacement preamp card for the MCI 500-series console, later adapted for both the MCI 600 and the Sony MXP-3000. In 1987, he began building a stand-alone preamp, the M-1.[3] References1. ^{{cite web| last1=Tingen | first1=Paul |title=Steve Albini: Sound Engineer Extraordinaire | url=https://www.soundonsound.com/people/steve-albini|website=SoundonSound.com | date=Sep 2005 |accessdate=31 January 2019}} 2. ^{{cite web| title = Deane Jensen Designed 990 Discrete Op-Amp Inducted to The NAMM Hall of Fame (2018)| work = Audioexpress.com | publisher = Audio Xpress | url = https://www.audioxpress.com/news/deane-jensen-designed-990-discrete-op-amp-inducted-to-the-namm-hall-of-fame| accessdate = January 29, 2019}} 3. ^{{cite web| last1=Silverstein | first1=Steve |title=John Hardy: Builder of mic preamps | url=https://tapeop.com/interviews/15/john-hardy/|website=Tapeop.com | date=Jan–Feb 2000 |accessdate=31 January 2019}} External links
