The non-partisan Politfact watchdog organization found that his words were "half-true." In fact, Politifact said polls have found that often the majority of consumers have varying degrees of satisfaction, but are not strongly satisfied. For instance, an ABC News poll in June 2009 about the cost of health insurance premiums found 23 percent were very satisfied, but a combined 75 percent of consumers were somewhat satisfied, somewhat dissatisfied or very dissatisfied (31 percent somewhat satisfied, 19 percent somewhat dissatisfied and 25 percent very dissatisfied).[8] On the July 10, 2009 edition of Bill Moyers Journal, Wendell Potter, former Vice President of corporate communications at the health insurance corporation CIGNA, claimed that the industry was "afraid" of the Michael Moore documentary Sicko.[9] As a result, the association formed a strategy to discredit the film.[9] As part of the reporting on this allegation, Bill Moyers Journal leaked May 2007 and June 2007 drafts of a memo entitled "Ensuring Accurate Perceptions of the Health Insurance Industry".[10][11] In 2015 two major American health insurance companies, UnitedHealth and Aetna, left the association; in 2017 a third large insurance company, Humana, also left.{{r|mhc|axios}} References1. ^{{cite book|last1=Mullner|first1=Ross M.|title=Encyclopedia of Health Services Research|date=May 15, 2009|publisher=SAGE Publications|isbn=9781452266114|pages=77-78|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=eyx1AwAAQBAJ&lpg=PA78&dq=%22America%E2%80%99s%20Health%20Insurance%20Plans%22&pg=PA77|accessdate=January 15, 2019}} 2. ^{{cite news|last1=Herman|first1=Bob|title=Marilyn Tavenner leaving AHIP|url=https://www.axios.com/marilyn-tavenner-leaving-ahip-1521040877-9f67dbe3-f07a-4f10-879d-12a4e0d27e83.html|accessdate=January 15, 2019|work=Axios|date=March 14, 2018}} 3. ^[https://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/23/us/health-insurers-gain-a-huge-new-lobby.html "Health insurers gain a huge new lobby,"] The New York Times, September 23, 2003 4. ^Sarah Lueck, [https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB106426654381679800?mod=home_whats_news_us "Two health trade groups to merge,"], Wall Street Journal, September 23, 2003 5. ^{{cite web|title=America's Health Insurance Plans: Summary|url=https://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/clientsum.php?id=D000021819&year=2009|website=OpenSecrets.org|publisher=Center for Responsive Politics|accessdate=26 December 2018}} 6. ^{{cite news|last1=King|first1=Robert|title=Insurance lobbying group gets new president|url=https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/healthcare/insurance-lobbying-group-gets-new-president|accessdate=December 26, 2018|work=Washington Examiner|date=March 14, 2018|language=en}} 7. ^{{cite web|title=Insurance Industry Ad Makes Fishy Claim About Lawyers|url=http://www.factcheck.org/politics/insurance_industry_ad_makes_fishy_claim_about.html|website=FactCheck.org|accessdate=December 26, 2018|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20130527074908/http://www.factcheck.org/politics/insurance_industry_ad_makes_fishy_claim_about.html|archivedate=May 27, 2013|date=April 19, 2005}} 8. ^{{cite news|last1=Jacobson|first1=Lewis|editor-last1=Adair|editor-first1=Bill|title=Private insurance plans say public has 'strong satisfaction' with their coverage|url=https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/sep/01/americas-health-insurance-plans/strong-satisfaction-health-insurance-coverage/|accessdate=December 26, 2018|work=PolitiFact|date=September 1, 2009}} 9. ^1 {{cite web|title=Bill Moyers Journal .
