The film stars Knute Erickson and Marcella Daly. The film was released on March 28,1926, by Film Booking Offices of America. [1] [2] PlotThis Story starts in 1906 Sweden. A sea captain, Lars Larson played by Knute Erickson, returns home from a long sea voyage. He discovers his wife, Anna Larson played Marcella Daly and their unborn child have been kidnaped. He is unable to determine their fate. He goes insane. Crazy with grief, he embarks on a new career and becomes a smuggler. Fast-forward to 1925 - the Navy's is conducting its history-making nonstop flight from San Francisco to Hawaii. A fuel shortage forces the plane down in the Pacific. The PN9 drifts to an uncharted island. Once the crews travel to the island, they find a hermit and a beautiful woman played by Virginia Fry. The flight crew's second in command falls in love. It just so happens; Captain Lars Larson is on the island smuggling human cargo. Simultaneously, the leader of a band of Chinese bandits, who happens to be on the island too, decides he wants the woman for his own. A massive conflict breaks out between smugglers, the plane crew and Chinese. A US submarine arrives in the nick of time to rescue the downed plane and restores order. Captain Lars finds out the beautiful woman is his missing daughter - Marie. After the melee is put down, the plane’s number two gets the girl. Cast
