释义 |
Ammittamru II was a king of the ancient Syrian city of Ugarit who ruled from 1260 to 1235 BC.[1] He reigned for 25 years, being the son of former king Niqmepa,[2] who was famously forced to sign a treaty of vassalization to the Hittites. Like all other Ugaritan kings, very few references of him exist. However, he is known to be a contemporary of Bentisina of the Amurru. Ammittamru II is assumed to have used the seal of his grandfather, Niqmaddu II instead of the dynastic seal that reads: "Yaqarum, son of Niqmaddu, king of Ugarit", that was normally used by Ugaritan kings.[2][3] References1. ^{{cite book|title=Athtart: The Transmission and Transformation of a Goddess in the Late Bronze Age|last=Wilson-Wright|first=Aren|date=2016|isbn=9783161550102|page=122}} {{S-start}}{{S-bef | before=Niqmepa}}{{S-ttl | title=King of Ugarit}}{{S-aft | after=Ibiranu}}{{s-end}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Ammittamru II}}{{Syria-bio-stub}}{{AncientNearEast-bio-stub}}2. ^1 {{cite book|title=Handbook of Ugaritic Studies|last=Watson|first=Wilfred|date=1999|isbn=9789004309678|page=693}} 3. ^{{cite book|last=Smith|first= Mark S.|title=The Ugaritic Baal Cycle: Volume I, Introduction with text, translation and commentary of KTU 1.1-1.2|year=1994|page=90|isbn=9789004099951}} 2 : Ugaritic kings|13th-century BC people |
