Thomas Dafydd was an 18th century Welsh elegist and hymn writer. He is thought to have been from Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire, and to have produced some twenty booklets (published between 1765 and 1792) of hymns and elegies (containing insights into the characters of some of the Methodist personalities of his day).
