It is found on Borneo.[1] Adults are cupreous, the forewings ochraceous, with three chalybeous (steel-blue) stripes, which extend from the base to beyond the middle, and are connected at their tips. The marginal band and fringe are chalybeous. The hindwings are cupreous brown.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Savela |first=Markku |url=http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/lecithoceridae/lecithocerinae/tisis/#chalybaeella |title=Tisis chalybaeella (Walker, 1864) |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=February 8, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q14494619}}{{Lecithocerinae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/listofspecimenso2930brit#page/799/mode/1up List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum 29: 799] 2 : Moths described in 1864|Tisis |
