[5]HistoryThe Tri-City United High School, as it exists today, was built and founded in 2012 following the consolidation of the Le Center and Montgomery-Lonsdale school districts.[1] The current high school building was built on the site of a former Montgomery elementary school to better accommodate the larger student body with academic and athletic opportunities not previous available to either consolidated schools campuses.[6] The current Tri-City United Titans varsity team arose from the merger of The Le Center Wildcats and Montgomery-Lonsdale Redbirds varsity teams of each consolidated schools.[7] References1. ^1 2 3 {{cite web|url=http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/schoolpage2.asp?school=305|title=Activity Page|publisher=}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=https://nces.ed.gov/ccd/schoolsearch/school_detail.asp?Search=1&DistrictID=2700379&ID=270037904578|title=TRI-CITY UNITED HIGH SCHOOL|publisher=National Center for Education Statistics|accessdate=February 16, 2019}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.mnriverconference.org/g5-bin/client.cgi?G5button=7|title=Minnesota River Conference|publisher=}} 4. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=https://nces.ed.gov/ccd/schoolsearch/school_detail.asp?Search=1&DistrictID=2700379&ID=270037904578|title=Search for Public Schools - School Detail for Tri-city United High School|publisher=}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.publicschoolreview.com/minnesota/tri-city-united/2700379-school-district|title=Tri-city United School District - Le Sueur, Minnesota - PublicSchoolReview.com|publisher=}} 6. ^http://www.mankatofreepress.com/news/local_news/united-they-stand-le-center-montgomery-lonsdale-form-tri-city/article_204d5fea-7da9-58fd-abaf-e8f5cf41621b.html 7. ^http://www.mnhshp.com/defunct.html 4 : Schools in Le Sueur County, Minnesota|Educational institutions established in 2012|2012 establishments in Minnesota|Public high schools in Minnesota |
