}}Tryphon rutilator is a species belonging to the family Ichneumonidae, subfamily Tryphoninae.[2] Distribution and habitatThis European-Siberian species is present in most of Europe and Siberia, in the Near East and in the Oriental ecozone.[3] These insects mainly inhabit hedge rows.[4] DescriptionTryphon rutilator can reach a body length of {{convert|7|-|11|mm}}, with forewings of {{convert|5|-|9|mm}}.[4] Head is weakly compressed posteriorly, witt long yellowish antennae consisting of 29-35 segments. Frons has a weak longitudinal carina. These ichneumonids have a black body and reddish abdomen.
