Turner Japan K.K. ({{Lang-ja|ターナージャパン株式会社}}), formerly Japan Entertainment Network K.K. ({{Lang-ja|株式会社ジャパン・エンターテイメント・ネットワーク}}), is a Japanese commercial television broadcasting company operated as a part of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific (a subsidiary of AT&T's WarnerMedia). HistoryThe company was originally established as Japan Entertainment Network K.K. on May 8, 1997, as a joint venture between Itochu and Time Warner. On September 1, 1997, the company launched the Japanese version of Cartoon Network on PerfecTV (a forerunner to what is now Sky PerfecTV Premium Service). The company officially renamed itself as Turner Japan K.K. on April 1, 2013. In July 2009, the company acquired {{Interlanguage link|Japan Image Communications|lt=Japan Image Communications Co., Ltd.|ja|ジャパンイメージコミュニケーションズ|vertical-align=sup}} (JIC), which owned {{Interlanguage link|Mondo TV (Japan)|lt=Mondo TV|ja|MONDO TV|vertical-align=sup}} and {{Interlanguage link|Tabi Channel|ja|旅チャンネル|vertical-align=sup}}, from Secom, Fuji Xerox and {{Interlanguage link|Hikari Tsushin|lt=Hikari Tsushin, Inc.|ja|光通信 (企業)|vertical-align=sup}}. On January 1, 2014, JIC was merged into Turner Japan. On January 30, 2018, Turner Japan launched three new channels, Boomerang (a spin off channel to Cartoon Network), Tabi Tele (a spin off to Tabi Channel) and Mondo Mah-jong TV (a spin off to Mondo TV), on NTT DoCoMo's DTV Channel OTT multichannel television platform.
