}}Tyler Lafauci (born February 9, 1952) is a former American football player for the LSU Tigers of Louisiana State University (LSU). Mainly playing as an offensive guard, Lafauci was a first-team All-American his senior season in 1973.[1] He was also a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 1973 as well as a second-team selection in 1972. Lafauci also occasionally played as a defensive lineman.[2] Lafauci was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and attended De La Salle High School there, where as a senior he was a class triple-A all-state selection as both an offensive and defensive guard and was named the state's outstanding lineman.[3] After college, he became a physical therapist in Baton Rouge.[4] In 1983, Lafauci was inducted into the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame.[5] References1. ^{{cite news |last1=Nissenson |first1=Herschel |title=AP Names Lafauci to All-American |url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/23191769/ap_names_lafauci_to_allamerican/ |accessdate=August 27, 2018 |work=The Town Talk |agency=Associated Press |date=December 4, 1973 |page=7|via=Newspapers.com}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Lafauci, Tyler}}2. ^{{cite news |last1=McIntyre |first1=Bill |title=An Unknown Soldier |url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/23191306/an_unknown_soldier/ |accessdate=August 27, 2018 |work=The Shreveport Times |date=November 1, 1972 |page=25|via=Newspapers.com}} 3. ^{{cite news |last1=Castillo |first1=Ted |title=Shreveport-Bossier Gridders Earn Berths on All-State Club |url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/23191450/shreveportbossier_gridders_earn_berths/ |accessdate=August 27, 2018 |work=The Shreveport Times |date=December 29, 1969 |page=23|via=Newspapers.com}} 4. ^{{cite web |title=Tyler LaFauci, Former Player |url=https://www.lib.lsu.edu/sites/all/files/oralhistory/presentations/football/biotylerlafauci.html |website=lib.lsu.edu |publisher=LSU Libraries |accessdate=August 27, 2018}} 5. ^{{cite news |title=LSU honors Tyler Lafauci |url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/4244425/lsu_honors_tyler_lafauci/ |accessdate=August 27, 2018 |work=The Anniston Star |agency=Associated Press |date=April 15, 1983 |page=14|via=Newspapers.com}} 6 : 1950s births|Living people|People from Louisiana|American football offensive guards|Louisiana State University alumni|LSU Tigers football players |
