The company is owned by Romanian entrepreneur {{Interlanguage link multi|Dorinel Umbrărescu|ro}}, who also owns {{Interlanguage link multi|Banca Română de Credite și Investiții|ro}} (formerly ATEbank Romania), and who is widely known as Romania's "asphalt king".^[1]
