Unit Island is a small, low island located within the southern half of Morro Bay, California. It is located within San Luis Obispo County. The islet is roughly circular in shape and is approximately 100 feet in diameter, making it the second largest island in the bay by area. The island is home to native seabirds such as Western gulls and Brown pelicans[1]. The island and surrounding mud flats (exposed at low tide) can serve as a hazard for water craft travelling through the nearby channels.
