It was the eleventh of twelve Block IIF satellites to be launched.[3] LaunchBuilt by Boeing and launched by United Launch Alliance, USA-265 was launched at 16:13 UTC on 31 October 2015, atop a Atlas V 401 carrier rocket, vehicle number AV-060.[2] The launch took place from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station,[3] and placed USA-265 directly into semi-synchronous orbit.[6] OrbitAs of 5 December 2015, USA-265 was in an orbit with a perigee of {{convert|20444|km|sp=us}}, an apogee of {{convert|20491|km|sp=us}}, a period of 729.58 minutes, and 54.99 degrees of inclination to the equator.[4] It is used to broadcast the PRN 10 signal, and operates in slot 6 of plane E of the GPS constellation. The satellite has a design life of 15 years and a mass of {{convert|1630|kg}}. [5] It is currently in service following commissioning on December 9, 2015.[6]{{-}}References{{Portal|Spaceflight}}1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/nmc/spacecraftDisplay.do?id=2015-062A|title=Navstar 75|publisher=US National Space Science Data Center|accessdate=10 December 2015}} {{GPS satellites}}{{Orbital launches in 2015}}{{US-spacecraft-stub}}2. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://planet4589.org/space/log/launchlog.txt|title=Launch Log|publisher=Jonathan's Space Page|first=Jonathan|last=McDowell|accessdate=10 December 2015}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://planet4589.org/space/lvdb/list2.html|title=Launch List|publisher=Jonathan's Space Page|work=Launch Vehicle Database|first=Jonathan|last=McDowell|accessdate=10 December 2015}} 4. ^1 2 3 4 5 {{cite web|url=http://planet4589.org/space/log/satcat.txt|title=Satellite Catalog|publisher=Jonathan's Space Page|first=Jonathan|last=McDowell|accessdate=10 December 2015}} 5. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/navstar-2f.htm|title=GPS-2F (Navstar-2F)|first=Gunter|last=Krebs|work=Gunter's Space Page|accessdate=10 December 2015}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/?Do=gpsShowNanu&num=2015093|title=NOTICE ADVISORY TO NAVSTAR USERS (NANU) 2015093|publisher=United States Coast Guard|accessdate=10 December 2015}} 4 : Spacecraft launched in 2015|GPS satellites|USA satellites|Spacecraft launched by Atlas rockets |
