In 2016, Valentina Kova was named “Russian Woman of the Year” by the U.S. Russian Embassy. Kova currently works and resides in New York.[2] Her designs have been worn by a number of celebrities, including Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore, Lorde, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Coco Rocha, and Mischa Barton.[3][4] Kova is Russian-born and graduated with a degree in art and economics.[3] She worked for Goldman Sachs prior to applying and being accepted to Parson's Graduate Program.
