Vanda Briedienė (13 January 1932 – 27 April 2013) was a Lithuanian economist, politician and member of the Seimas. BiographyBriedienė was born in Biržai, Lithuania on 13 January 1932. In 1949 her family was deported to Siberia where she stayed until 1957.[1] In 1960 Briedienė graduated from the Institute of Finance and Economics in Moscow. In 1968 she received a PhD in Economics from Vilnius University and started teaching at the university.
