Vanya Petkova ({{lang-bg|Ваня Петкова}}; 1944 – April 2009) was a Bulgarian writer and translator.[1]

She was born in Sofia and studied Slavic philology at Sofia University and Spanish at the Jose Marti Institute for Foreign Languages in Havana. Petkova was editor for the journal Slaveiche, for the newspaper Literaturen front and for the journal Suvremenik.[2] She worked as a translator at the Bulgarian Embassy in Khartoum.[1] Her poetry has been translated into English, Spanish, French, Russian, Greek, Armenian, Polish, Czech, Hindi and Arabic.[2]
