}}Vasylivka ({{lang-uk|Василівка}}; {{lang-ru|Васильевка}}) is a village in Bilyayivka Raion, Odessa Oblast (province), Ukraine. The current estimated population is 2068 (as of 2001).^[1]

History

The village was founded in 1849.

In the village is located The Dubiecki Manor. The manor was built between 1830 and 1854. According to some data, famous architect Francesco Boffo designed the building. Made famous from his work on the Potemkin Stairs in Odessa. The designer of the gardens, situated near by the manor, was the famous architect Ivan Dallakva. The first owner was the noblemen major general Vasyl Dubiecki, built the manor.

Notable people

Sergei Pankejeff, Russian aristocrat from Odessa best known for being a patient of Sigmund Freud, who gave him the pseudonym of Wolf Man (der Wolfsmann).
