However, in 2018, the Vaydor design was sold to Custom Crafted Cars, who now sells the Vaydor as a turn-key custom car. Details of this sale and the new owner will be made available to the public on 27 February 2019. The Vaydor was featured as the Joker's car in the 2016 film Suicide Squad,[3] and was also featured on Fox News.[4] Custom Crafted Cars plans to release an all new Vaydor model to be built onto a custom mid-engine chassis DesignThe Vaydor was designed by entrepreneur Matt McEntegart, who had previous experience making custom hod-rod interiors.[5] It features scissor doors, a front air splitter, aftermarket headlights, and optional AMANI Forged Wheels.[6] Two side air vents are added behind the doors, and three are installed in the rear near the tail lights.[6] To support the new body, a custom roll cage is installed.[7] The Vaydor has a 52% front 48% rear weight distribution.[10] ConstructionSince the Vaydor is a kit car, it must be assembled onto the Infiniti G35. First, the Infiniti must be stripped to the chassis. Then, the custom roll cage has to be built onto the car. Once the roll cage is finished, the new interior and body is installed.[8] Ninety percent of the parts needed for the Vaydor come from the donor G35, and the rest is provided in the kit.[1] The Vaydor can be constructed onto an Infiniti G37 chassis, but several extra parts from the G35 are required.[9] Designer Matt McEntegart says about the build: "It's a lot of work, but it's not necessarily hard."[5] EngineThe Infiniti G35 coupe comes with the Nissan VQ 3.5L V-6 engine.[10] The engine produces 280 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque.[10] Versions of this engine appear in the Nissan 350Z, Nissan Skyline, Renault Laguna, and others.
