It premiered on 29 January 2019, replacing O Tempo Não Para.[2] It is created by Izabel de Oliveira and Paula Amaral with the collaboration of Daisy Chaves, Isabel Muniz, João Brandão and Luciane Reis, directed by Ana Paula Guimarães, Diego Morais and Tila Teixeira, general direction of Jorge Fernando and Marcelo Zambelli and artistic direction of Jorge Fernando.[3] It stars Isabelle Drummond, Rafael Vitti, Jesuíta Barbosa, Cláudia Raia, Dira Paes, Klebber Toledo, Humberto Martins and Camila Queiroz in the main roles.[4] PlotIn 1980, when she was only ten years old, Manuzita (Melissa Nóbrega) was a fever all over Brazil, commanding her own children's program. However, upon learning that the show would be cancelled due to falling ratings, her mother comes up with a plan to reverse the situation and Manuzita announces a contest that would select a child to share the stage with her. The Santa Catarina brothers João (João Bravo) and Jerônimo (Diogo Caruso) are chosen and the three form the group Patotinha Mágica, becoming a great national success and crowding several shows. However, while Manuzita and João gain more public attention and the title of "double patotinha", Jerônimo ends up being left aside, nourishing an intense hatred for his brother. In one of the perfomrances, João faints on-stage and ends up being hospitalized with pneumonia. His mother, Janaína (Dira Paes), is charged with negligence and the case is printed in the main newspapers of the country, cancelling the program and advertising contracts and causing the extinction of the group. Ten years later, in 1990, Manu (Isabelle Drummond) becomes a sub-celebrity who does everything to try to regain her lost fame, entering into various comic situations and accepting any work (often of doubtful taste) for it. She has the help of her mother, Lidiane (Claudia Raia), a fussy ex-actress from the pornochanchada who lives inflating her daughter's ego, and Jofre (Luiz Henrique Nogueira), who worked on her show and never failed to believe her. During a trip, Manu and João (Rafael Vitti) meet again and discover an intense love asleep, revolting Jerônimo (Jesuit Barbosa), who maintains an obsessive passion for her and arms for his brother to be arrested. After another three years, in 1993, Manu finds himself increasingly far from fame, while John has a new chance at being released to rebuild life and romance. Meanwhile, Jerônimo returns to Rio de Janeiro and gets a position on the PopTV channel - a reference to MTV Brasil - forming a trio of pilangers with the fumbling Galdino (Gabriel Godoy) and the cunning Vanessa (Camila Queiroz) who seek fame and fortune. He, furthermore, still desires Manu at any cost. There are still other stories, such as the merciless Mercedes (Totia Meireles), married to the swindler Quinzão (Alexandre Borges) , who commands not only the family communications companies with a firm hand, but also the lives of their two children.
