词条 | Victor Anastasi |
释义 |
His most famous work is the Triton Fountain in Valletta, which he designed along with the sculptor Vincent Apap in the 1950s. Anastasi designed the architectural and technical elements of the fountain,[1] while Apap worked on the sculpture of the three bronze Tritons. Anastasi was not mentioned on the fountain's proposal since PWD employees were ineligible in the competition.[1] He also designed the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (now the Ġ. F. Abela Junior College) in Msida, which was designed and built between 1962 and 1966.[2] References1. ^{{cite news|title=Tritons’ Fountain, City Gate|url=http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20120616/environment/Tritons-Fountain-City-Gate.424467|work=Times of Malta|date=16 June 2012|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20170417153059/http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20120616/environment/Tritons-Fountain-City-Gate.424467|archivedate=17 April 2017}} {{authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Anastasi, Victor}}2. ^1 2 {{cite book|last1=Muscat|first1=Mark Geoffrey|title=Maltese Architecture 1900–1970: Progress and Innovations|date=2016|publisher=Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti|location=Valletta|isbn=9789990932065|pages=100–102|chapter=Post-War Manifestations}} 6 : 1913 births|1992 deaths|Maltese designers|Architectural designers|Draughtsmen|20th-century Maltese architects |
