BiographyVictoria Amelina was born in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2014, Amelina left her successful career in IT to dedicate herself to writing. By 2015 she became a laureate of the Ukrainian National Literary Competition Koronatsiya Slova and released her debut novel The November Syndrome: about Homo Compatiens that was short-listed as one of the best books of the year.[1] according to the Litakcent online magazine and Valeriy Shevchuk literary prize. The novel received positive reviews from scholars both from Ukraine and Europe.[2][3] Texts by Victoria Amelina have been translated into Chech, Dutch and German languages. In 2016, Victoria Amelina released her first book for children Someone, or Water Heart.[4] Currently, Victoria Amelina lives in Lviv where she works on her new novel.
