Vizion Motorsports (formerly NextGen Motorsports)^[1] is an American professional stock car racing team that currently competes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series. In the Gander Outdoors Truck Series, the team currently fields the No. 35 Chevrolet Silverado part-time for Bayley Currey. In the ARCA Menards Series, the team currently fields the No. 35 part-time for Brenden Queen and the No. 36 part-time for Paul Williamson.

History

Formerly NextGen Motorsports, Vizion has competed in various levels of stock car racing, including the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and NASACR Xfinity Series.

Xfinity Series

Car No. 13 history

In 2017, the team helped MBM Motorsports to field an entry for NextGen drivers at road-courses races: (Enrique Baca drove at Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio while Ernie Francis Jr. drove the car at Road America.

Car No. 55 history

In 2017, the No. 55 car made two attempts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The first attempt was at Kansas in mid-October. The team made its Xfinity Series debut with Josh Berry, finishing 33rd. The second attempt was at Homestead with Matt Mills, who joined Quin Houff in the No. 46 and Morgan Shepherd in the No. 89 as the drivers who did not qualify.

Gander Outdoors Truck Series

Truck No. 1 history

NextGen Motorsports entered a No. 35 entry that was to be driven by Travis Kvapil for the 2018 Alpha Energy Solutions 250, but wound up withdrawing the entry.

NextGen announced on October 24, 2018 that Inspectra Thermal Solutions would sponsor Parker Kligerman at Texas Motor Speedway in the JAG Metals 350, although Brennan Poole was later named as a replacement. A 15th-place finish was marred by a practice penalty for losing ballast weight. The penalty suspended NextGen's crew chief, truck chief and chief mechanic until after the 2019 NextEra Energy Resources 250.

The team returned two weeks later renamed as Vizion Motorsports in the Truck Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Poole, finishing nineteenth.

On February 9, 2019, announced Bayley Currey would pilot the No. 35 in select races in the 2019 season.

In April of 2019 entered a No. 1 truck Bayley Currey but later withdrew from the race.

Truck No. 83 history

In 2018, the team made their Truck debut at Kentucky, fielding the No. 83 for Tyler Matthews. Matthews made contact with the wall on lap one and finished 32nd.^[2]

K&N Pro Series

The team fielded in 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East 3 part-time cars (No. 5, No. 9 and No. 25). The No. 5, No. 25 and No. 55 returned in 2018.

Car No. 5 history

In 2017, they fielded No. 5 Chevrolet for Enrique Baca and Luis Rodriguez, Jr. In 2018, the team returned with Juan Manuel González and Dale Quarterley behind the wheel.

Car No. 9 history

In 2017, they fielded No. 9 Ford for Baca, Brandon Lynn and Woody Pitkat in a partnership with Troy Williams team.

Car No. 25 history

In 2017, they fielded No. 25 Chevrolet/Toyota for Baca and David Levine. Levine returned once again in 2018 for New Jersey Motorsports Park race.

Car No. 55 history

In 2018, they fielded No. 55 Toyota for Abraham Calderón and Marcos Gomes.

ARCA Menards Series

Car No. 36 history

On January 3, 2019 Vizion Motorsports announced they would field NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and East driver Salvatore Iovino in the No. 36 at Daytona.
