The board's administrative area includes the suburbs Titirangi, Glen Eden, Konini and towns of Bethells Beach, Piha, Karekare, Huia and, Laingholm[2], and covers area from Waitakere Ranges to O'Neill Bay[3]. The board is governed by four board members elected at-large. The inaugural members were elected in the nationwide 2010 local elections, coinciding with the introduction of the Auckland Council [4]. 2016-19 termThe board's term currently runs from the 2016 local body elections to the local body elections in 2019.
