Wengenville was probably named at the suggestion of the daughter in law of sawmiller Lars Andersen, when the mill was erected on the site. The mill closed in the 1960s and the township was abandoned shortly after.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite QPN|46277|Wengenville|locality in South Burnett Region|accessdate=31 December 2017}} {{South Burnett Region}}{{Queensland-geo-stub}} 1 : South Burnett Region |
